<sub>There's a hole in my garden underneith an oak tree
And inside it decends in to a bottomless abyss.
If I throw down a stone it will make no sound,
But if I remain there quietly; I hear the voice of a man.

I imagine he is tall with legs like a spider,
and a small top hat balanced to the side of his head.
His clothes would be old and look rather worn,
And he'd have a secretive grin

I'd go down for tea and we'd talk for hours ,
among his collection of strange, foreign things.
He'd carry me on his back and we'd go on adventures,
meeting more folk who live under the earth

There's a hole in my garden that's as dark as the night,
And in it, I'm sure, lives a man.
With his long legged chairs and mesmerizing tales
And his grin, abnormally polite.</sub>
